She knows me well....

This is the end of a thank you email Courtney sent me after her B-day party. She pretty well sums up the rest of my life. Can't wait.

"....I mean let’s face it after it is all said and done, you know after my husband dies and my children dis-own me for not setting better boundaries and I put you back together after you leave your man, and Dave finds a lady to love, and your children disown the both of us - me for the way I raised them and you for letting me raise them - it will probably be you and me sitting in some park or on some porch, me wearing clothes that don’t match and dangling bracelets that have long since tarnished and you in your jogging suit and running shoes, me yelling at you that all that strawberry quick will make you constipated and you reminding me you can still kick my ass even in a Rascal and we will talk of what became of our lives and what could have been and it will truly be a beautiful thing. I love you my lady."

Perhaps the truest, longest run on sentence known to man. Courtney spins one helluva a yarn. With that said, there is one glaring absence in Courtney's account of the future - the sound of scores of malnourished kittens meowing behind that park bench in a cramped radio flyer wagon. I call it "the sound of destiny"

Yep the future is looking bright, Erickson...can't wait. Love you.

And mark my words, Dave. I will teach my semi-feral cats to attack and by attack I mean eat your face while you are still alive. Good day sir.

Well, Dave, after Becky leaves you and takes your son "Stephan" with her, and somehow you and I make peace with whatever insignificant tif that drove us apart and out of the house you built for us on the lake years before, we will return to that place....you, Courtney and I... and the cats. Don't fight it, its science.

So I am assuming that I will be dead by the time all of this happens. At least I hope so. Or I would rather be highly medicated in some mental institute...there I have a chance to be "the cool one", people will appreciate me for my lock picking skills and think that I am such a renegade for sneaking through the corridor at night.
